About Daido Market
Daido Market is one of the asian grocery stores listed in White Plains, New York. The business is registered at 522 Mamaroneck Ave, White Plains, NY 10605; use this page to check its hours, phone number and Google rating before you make the trip. Store size varies enormously, from a small corner grocery with a few aisles to a full supermarket chain location in White Plains with a bakery, seafood counter and food court under one roof. Sales and promotions are often posted in-store or in a weekly flyer rather than online, so prices listed on a website may be out of date. Seafood markets sell live and on-ice product and can usually clean or prepare fish on request for a small fee. Specialty food stores in New York may focus narrowly on one category, like a butcher, a rice and dry goods shop, or an import store, so calling ahead to confirm stock for a specific item saves a wasted trip.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 9:30 amβ7 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (914) 683-6735. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is daidomarket.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.7 out of 5 from 545 reviews, which is a strong result for an asian grocery store in White Plains and suggests consistent service.

This spot is a GEM of Westchester County. From around 9:30AM-1:00PM (approximately, some days run out faster than others) they offer fresh bento and onigiris in their prepared food fridge section. Bentos include cooked salmon, mackerel, Japanese-style chili chicken, fried pollack, and sometimes more or less depending on what's available, they range from about $9.50-$14 (a STEAL for a nice big lunch in WC). They also have refrigerated beef bowls, eel bowls, and sometimes other bowls. They also have a small selection of prepared sushi, sashimi, and sushi bowls. Onigiris vary depending on what's available, but typically they'll have tuna-mayo, spicy tuna, shrimp tempura, eel, kelp, spicy cod roe, and more (sometimes less depending on the day). Did I mention their store is absolutely pristine? Easy to find everything? Well stocked drink fridge with Japanese sodas/energy drinks/health elixirs? The ladies that run the store and cashier are incredibly kind too! Limited free parking for the shop, but plenty of White Plains paid parking and some street parking on Mamaroneck (I know ughhh) nearby and yes I see attendants there every so often so watch out y'all. AND they have a rewards

Such a hidden gem in White Plains π₯Ήβ¨ Daido Market has everything if you love Japanese snacks, drinks, and fresh food. I went in just to browse and left with a whole haul ππ‘ The snack selection is so fun, with so many things you donβt usually see in regular stores. I especially loved trying new treats and finding cute packaging (perfect for pics π€). The store is clean, well-organized, and the staff were really kind and helpful. It honestly feels like a mini trip to Japan π―π΅ Definitely coming back to try more things, this might be my new favorite spot π

We visited Daido Market which was highly recommended by our foodie friend. Their bento was decent with extremely reasonable price. Both Bentos were under $10 each which we havenβt seen in NYC in a while. Even though the taste was not delicate but the quality was still good enough.

My Japanese friend recommended Daido to me so I went on a weekend afternoon. The store is pretty small and with limited parking like all the reviews say, but what a gem of a place this is! The selection of fish/sashimi and meat are really good and although the sushi and bento selection was not great when we went, I would definitely go back to see whats offered. Also do yourself a favor and stop by the bakery next to the cashier, the baked goods are top quality! Overall I had a blast just looking around the store and trying all the different Japanese products from the bentos, drinks, ice creams, and baked goods. Felt like I took a trip to Japan.
